Nexplanon experience?

I'm getting the nexplanon implant next week. I was talking to some of my coworkers about their experiences using it and they were pretty mixed. Some of the stories really freaked me out though. Please tell me your experience using nexplanon and side effects you had.

I love it because it works extremely well, I have sex pretty often and my bf doesn’t pull out or use a condom and I haven’t gotten pregnant. I’ve had some mood swings and irregular periods.

bleeding, just bleeding. i’ve been bleeding for the past 2 months but it’s different from person to person so don’t let other people’s stories scare you away from it cuz it could be the best thing ever for you.

I don't love it or hate it, it's medication. There are side effects I could love without, like spotting. But it does its job, and well. I feel really protected. I can't complain.

Hated it so much. 
- I gained 40 pounds in the six months I had it.
- my anxiety was horrible
- my period did not stop the entire time I had it 
- it moved and I had to have an X-ray to locate it, it was several inches above where it should be 
- I got sharp shooting pains where it was for weeks 
- when I had it removed, it took thirty minutes and lots of yanking and when it came out, it was bent. 
I highly highly recommend not getting it.

I loved it! I never had a issue with it. For the 3 years I had it I had maybe a handful of periods and they lasted for maybe 2-3 days.

I had it for about 5 months after getting Mirena out. I had terrible mood swings, weight gain, fatigue, and panic attacks throughout the time I had it. (I’ve never had an issue with any of those things with Mirena) When I went to get it out, it went from a “it’s going to be a five minute procedure” to “we may have to call another person in.” An hour and a half later, they finally got the dumb thing out! They had to numb me 5 times and I have a horrible scar on my arm now.

I got it and it hurt like hell. It went away but came back two weeks later and I couldn't move my arm. My doctor said it was tendonitis but I can't help but think they're related. I still can't use that arm for much. I got a lot of anxiety the first month but that went away. I have 17 day periods every 14 days and I'm hopeful those will end soon too

I started to hate it because I bled for four weeks when I first got it (after a few days) and then was on progesterone pills but now they've stopped working and I've been bleeding for five. I can't take it out because my insurance ran out

Worst. BC. Ever. (For me) all the side effects. Weight gain headaches irregular periods. Best thing I ever did was remove the little fucker lol
