I haven't been to many and I'm trying not to do all black. Is it appropriate to just wear some nice clothes or what? It's tomorrow by the way. I'm really not good at this. What about the color maroon?

I would say no. Only because of the print. I would find solid black or navy. If you can't find a solid color dress, try a solid color skirt with a top or body suit.

I'd say white, black, dark blue and grey could be a good mix. I think all black is slightly excessive! I think they just mean respectful, not horribly flashy colors.

honestly just dress classy. it really doesnt matter what color...yes its usually black, just dont look like some girl off jersey shore lol wear a nice dress dont go overboard on accessories. i think even business casual is nice like a black pencil skirt and a white top would even be fine... makeup... keep it neutral. ;) im sorry for the loss you are experiencing :(

I'm WELL versed in funerals. I'm 27 years old and I've known 29 people that have died. Funerals are like a yearly event for me. 
With that being said, yes, this dress is fine. You'd be surprised at how many people don't wear black or all solid colors to these things.

For a funeral of a close family member I would wear all black but like if you're not that close navy blue or another dark color works just fine.

Generally to funerals you would wear something classy and black, if you dont want the full black look you can wear something like this with a coloured hand or shoulder bag
