Controlling your emotions

So my boyfriends in the army and he's been gone for 51 days so far and it's been one emotional ride. To keep my mind distracted I've been working out, it's okay been two days so far and I am over weight for my size... but I feel like I get more angry and angry easily since I've been working out and I'm normally a very happy person. Do I just need more sleep? Caffeine? Lol, any advice?
