Anyone do the genetic testing for gender?

Question

We did the genetic blood test today! The doctor said about 2 weeks until we get the results!
My question is... how did you find out the gender? Did your doctor call you to tell you boy/girl? Did you look online at the results and find out that way?
We are super excited to find out early but we think looking at a computer screen is so anti-climatic and not as special as it could be!
Any experience, thoughts, ideas!?!

They called me and the results were on a paper in an envelope with all the information on it. 
With my daughter, my husband and I did a little gender reveal for just the two of us. I had the nurse take out the correct little duck, and when we got home we put it in water and waited and the water slowly turned pink. It was so cute! I got the little ducks on Etsy. 😊

You will get the results back in a week or less! I think it took 5 business days to get my results back, same with my friend and her two pregnancies :)

My doctor said they would upload it to my online profile, unless something came up on the test in which they would call.

I did mine yesterday and I'm curious how I would find out as well. I'm being told that the lab could call me for the results or I can call my doctor's office and someone (like a nurse) will tell me the results. 
Would love to hear what everyone else says.

I had the maternity t21 blood test done which at the time really didn't know too much about it. All the dr told me was to check for abnormal chromosomes or other genetic factors. So two weeks later I got the call that everything was fine and if I wanted to know the gender. I was shocked but I said yes yes yes I can't not know now. I don't like to wait on a surprise. I found out Im having a girl. I've been shouting it out to everyone I'm so happy. Good luck!

My doctor called to tell me and I asked for the gender to be put in a sealed envelope to take to a bakery. Only negative is I've been waiting since Monday for the cake to be made! Can't wait to find out!

I just had the NIPT test. The doctors office called and told me the results. then they said they had the gender and asked if I wanted to know (which of course I did). Someone told me to not hold to much stock in the results - they could be wrong. But you can't go wrong with the gender on a blood test?

My doctor is going to call and tell me, which I'm fine with.  I'll think of a fun way to tell my husband because he'll be at work when the doctor calls.
