So work threw me a shower and this girl that didn't like me got me. Gift card. She was later super rude to me, so I gave her back her gift card and said, "I know you don't like me and felt obligated to get me something because of the office party, but it's okay." And gave it back to her. I really wasn't trying to be rude. I just didn't actually want an insincere gift anyway. Was I rude? My husband says that giving a gift back is rude. So I feel like I ended up being the bitch, even though I didn't intend to be mean.
