Could my due date be wrong??

Question

I had an appointment today. I'm 28 weeks and 4 days. The baby is weighing 3 pounds and 2 ounces at a 75 percentile. Could my due date be wrong? Could I have her early?? I'm a FTM so I'm really not sure about too much of this.

75% isn't anything a doctor is going to get worked up about; that means a quarter of all babies at the same gestational age are still bigger. Besides, due dates are just a guesstimate. Less than 4% of babies are actually born on their due date, so a doctor is unlikely to change your date this late in the game. Your baby may well come early, or s/he may come late and just be a larger than average baby.

Due dates are really more of an estimate tbh. I wouldn't get too hung up on that.
