Just wondering if anyone else's partner throws themselves a pity party whenever you fight.

My boyfriend when he realises I'm angry turns the fight into 'oh I'm so fucked up. I'm such a hassle and a waste of space.'

Now I do feel awful he's being so harsh on himself. But I also know he's doing it so I stop being mad and feel sorry for him. Effectively ending the fight.

It's hard sometimes because it can make me even more mad when he turns a fight into all about himself and I have to kneel at his feet and tell him how great he is.

But anyway. If anyone has any advice on how to handle it I would LOVE to hear it!!
