Donor trouble- help!

So my wife and I have had a serious of very serious conversations with one of our best friend’s over the past year, and more seriously in the past 2 months. He agreed to be our donor and we couldn’t imagine anyone better.

Last night we spoke to him and said my wife was going to ovulate next week and we were ready to get started. Long story short, he backed out.

We do have another option, but he was our first choice and this feels so painful. It’s also so challenging to think that heterosexual couples don’t have to face this added level of painful struggles.
