When is it ok to start feeding your baby rice cereal and baby food?

My son is 3 months. I am a first time mom so I was just wondering when they can start rice cereal or oatmeal and baby food/table food?

My daughter is 4 months her doctor told me no cereal but said I could mash up banana and avocado for her so yesterday and today I blended up banana and put a little formula in it to make it thinner and she loved it

Speak to your pediatrician. It's not an across the board thing.

When pediatrician says they can. Probably by 6 months. Some will ok as early as 4 months.

Ours said at 5 months we could start oatmeal cereal but he wasn't a fan so we are skipping it and doing regular food, the dog enjoyed the cereal
