Pregnant or not?

So my periods due in a couple of days, ran out of HPT and decided to use an ovulation test. I see two lines does this mean I'm ovulating late or possibly pregnant?

Answer

You always have LH in your system. Not a good idea to use a LH stick to detect pregnancy since your likely to be upset by the outcome. LH and HCG are molecularly similar so that's why you could get a positive LH if you pregnant (put really positive...the test strip dark as or darker than control). But....you also get an LH surge right before your period to halt progesterone production and ready the uterus for shedding.
