Urine under the toilet seat!?

Why is it that urine residue keeps collecting under the toilet seat?! 
My husband pees sitting down (because he’s so tall).... 
so it must be me?! But what is going on down there that gets it al over the underside.

We get that too and I just have no idea.  It's so nasty every time I clean the toilet, which is frequently too!

Maybe splash back? Like when you flush and the water splashes back up and it just accumulates? I see it on mine occasionally and my bfs too (since theirs is always up)

Thank gosh I'm not the only one!!! 😱 
I honestly think it's from the men because whenever I go to the restroom I don't see anything(which I've checked before to see if if was from me) I clean the toilet very often with bleach it's crazy only time I see it is when my step son and husband use the restroom 😳🙄🤢
