Dr changed my mom's medication, now she can't stop shaking

AMR • on a weight gaining and yoga journey... one day we will be a family of four 🙏🌈

my mom had her thyroid removed a few years ago. she is on synthroid and about 2 months ago she couldn't see her normal dr so she saw someone else, and instead of adjusting her medication slightly (it's usually changed in 25 mcg increments but this dr changed it by 75 mcg). well, within 24 hours my mom started shaking just all of a sudden. really violently. thought she was having seizures but that has been ruled out. the er dr said she has a condition called chorea and that the drastic change in her medicine can cause this. I've read her medical records and it says that, plain as day. they said that it will eventually go away, they just don't know how long it will take. so it has been 2 months of my mother not being able to do anything, she can't drive or anything. she spending half the day convulsing; she can walk when they aren't happening but if she's walking and they start she almost always falls and has to catch herself on the wall. she doesn't have insurance and since we had no idea what was wrong w her, she has seen a few Dr's and been to the er twice. so she has a bunch of bills due now, and she's still shaking. we filed a complaint with the hospital but they are basically saying that just because it COULD have caused it doesn't mean it DID, even though nothing else has changed. we aren't trying to sue. my mom just needs these bills taken care of. does anyone have any suggestions?
