You can live the life of your dreams, but there's a catch: you have to live for one week in the past or future. What do you choose?

Just to lighten things up a bit. Rules: 1) You must choose one and one only. 2) You will only have the knowledge that you currently possess. In other words, no books, or smartphones allowed (they wouldn't always work anyway), and no studying beforehand. 3) It cannot be less than 100 years in either direction. 4) You must go alone. 5) You can be killed. You will be given room and board that is considered "reasonable" for the time period, and you will somehow speak the language. Once the week is up, you will give a presentation to the challenges your race, gender, sexuality, social status and level of education posed, and how that experience can be applied today. But if you do a shit job then you'll be sent back for a month. Then you'll magically get the life you asked for. Go!
