your experience with a cerclage procedure?

I've had several misscariages, my husband & I had many test done to try to figure out why... so I'm upset that they didn't catch this! I'm 21weeks going to a high risk specialist, I was sent to a totaly different clinic because they didn't have appointments available sooner.. & lo and behold, THIS DOCTOR figured it out!! Hallelujah! I have short cervix & was told to check myself in to the ER for a cerclage. It wasn't really painful so far & it was a fast procedure. They ONLY gave me a week off work & I just wanted to know your experience with it & if it did help you have a successful pregnancy or did you have a premature baby. I was told the procedure might not work or that I'm most likely to have my baby early.

I had my cerclage placed at 14 weeks. I'm a SAHM so no bed rest was needed for me. everything has been going great so far. I'm 28 weeks today and had an appt with a MFM this afternoon and we think my cervix is funneling, I got back next thursday to check to see if there's any change, if there is I'll be put on progesterone and steroid shots. good luck to you!

I had a LEEP done several years ago and with how much my doctor took off, we automatically planned to do a cerclage at 13 weeks when I got pregnant. Was on strict bedrest for 24 hours but Just lounged in bed for 3 more days after that. 
I’m 35 weeks on Sunday, and for the past 5 weeks, my cervix has been SUPER soft which makes my doctor even more reassured that this was necessary lol 
We have a scan this week and we’ll schedule the removal for 37 weeks.
