Question

How much weight did you gain with your twins? I already have two kids and with every pregnancy I gained 12 kg (26.5 lb). 
Today I started into my 22nd week with twins (21w0d) and I already am at + 9 kg (19.8 lb) - help!!!!!! 
Is this normal? I step on the scale every 4 to 6 days and the weight just piles up. I am freaking out

Everyone's different! You look great! I'm 30 weeks and have gained around 28 pounds. I definitely have weeks where I gain more than others especially from the first trimester to the second. Just go easy on yourself, make sure your eating healthy foods and you will be just fine- don't stress mama! You're doing great ❤️

I'm 28+4 with my twinnies and have gained 14 pounds, which honestly is probably not enough (I personally think I don't look healthy, but my doc is not worried and I am eating everything I can but just not gaining - but babies are measuring a week ahead so clearly they're growing just fine). Everyone is different and you look awesome! Remember that we inherently need to gain more with twins than singletons because we've got two placentas, two babies, two amniotic sacs with twice the fluid, etc (I'm assuming they're di/di). Just keep it healthy and I'm sure you'll be great!!

I'm 25 weeks and 5 days with my twins and have gained 35-40lbs. Everyone is different. You look great! I wouldn't stress about it. As long as you and the babies are healthy then there is no need to worry. Remember you have 2 so the suggested weight gain is up to I believe 45lbs.

29w and 12,5kg here! First months I even lost some weight, now it’s a kilo per week for the last 4/5 weeks. I guess it will be like that till I’m done. I decided to relax, I know I’m eating normal so I’m not going to go all crazy about it.

When I found out we are having twins, I started reading all the studies on how to ensure they have the best chance. One of the very common recommendations, which is based on a big study, you should gain 24 lbs by 24 weeks. Early weight gain is a key for ensuring your babies will grow well and won't have a problem with being a very low weight even if born early.
The other recommendation, from a more recent study, says that the most important is the window between weeks 20 and 28, and that ideally you'll gain 8 lbs during these weeks.
So, if you ask me, you are on the right track! :)
Be prepared that you won't be able to eat much when your belly gets bigger. So the weight gain usually slows down after 25-26 weeks. I also had two 2-week long periods where I didn't gain at all, even lost some weight. Don't know how common it is, but definitely kept me from gaining too much.
I'm at 35w3d today and my total gain is around 30 lbs. I failed to meet 24 lbs by 24 weeks, but I diligently put on my 8 lbs between weeks 20 and 28 :) The babies have been measuring ahead my entire pregnancy and I couldn't be happier with that.

35 weeks, 2 days. Have gained 47 lbs. I was trying to stay in low 40 range.  I definitely feel big now! But have had a very healthy pregnancy, no high blood pressure, no diabetes, no bed rest, so I guess it's all good!
