Tattoo and breastfeeding?

I'm asking because I honestly don't know, but is it bad to get a tattoo while breastfeeding?

It’s fine. From kellymom: local and systemic infections due to improper aftercare are the most prevalent risks of tattooing, an allergic response to the inks used in the tattoo is another possibility.
Tattoos are permanent because the ink remains walled off within the body via the body’s inflammatory process, making the possibility of the ink migrating into the mother’s blood plasma and then into the milk-making cells of the breast, next to impossible.
Just make sure it’s a reputable establishment.

I'm not sure about breastfeeding but a few shops I've been to won't tattoo you within a few months of giving birth.  I would think it's fine if you're going to a clean shop as infection is always the biggest risk when your pregnant.

I’ve heard you shouldn’t. I have tattoos and want more but I’ll wait until I’m done breastfeeding just to be on the safe side. If I wouldn’t do it while pregnant I usually won’t do it while breastfeeding or pumping.

They advise against it in case of infection, but if the shop is professional and clean and you take care of your tattoo, then you won’t get an infection, and therefore won’t have a problem.
I got a tattoo while I was breastfeeding. My son was around 7 months old.

I have a friend who the last time I ssked if she was still BF and she was, she hsd been BF for 3 years. she got then throughout that time & no problems.
