So say you were getting your partner tickets to something for their birthday
You would get 2 tickets, one for them and one for them to take someone else so they wouldn’t go alone.
Would you pay for both tickets, or have the person he’s taking pay for the second one?

if its something i am going to with my boyfriend, id have no problem paying for it. i wouldnt buy him tickets to go with another person though bc i want to celebrate his birthday with him. you do whatever you want though. if you really want to do it, then go ahead

I’d go with him if it were me, but seeing your scenario, I’d still buy the second ticket. It’s his birthday and his gift. He gets to choose the friend and enjoy it because you made a day for him. There’s no telling his friend(s) would go if they had to pay for it themselves and his birthday would be spent alone.
