Heart Murmur

I wasn’t sure what group to post this in...

As far as I know, I’ve had a heart murmur my whole life. I didn’t even know about it until 3/4 grade when I had my appendix out, but my mom said I’ve always had it. Never had any problems heart-related, ever!

Today, I’m 22 weeks pregnant, went to my dr appointment to meet with the other dr, and they seemed rather concerned with the murmur. Not much talk about the baby.. just asking if I’ve ever had any problems, was I athletic in school, have I ever had an echo. (No, to all the above)

Then they just wanted to get me scheduled for an echo ASAP then to see me again right after.

I’m just so freaked out right now, cried on my way home, kind of freaked.

I’m just curious if anyone else has a heart murmur and how it has effected your lifestyle... & if you’re pregnant or have been & delivered, how was your experience with that and the heart murmur???
