Nuvaring and week off?

I've been on the nuvaring for about four or five months now. I've read that the nuvaring is still effective on the week its out. Is that true?

I've been on nuvaring for 9 months now. I dont use any other protection after i take it out and Never have any problems. But If you're not sure ask your doctor about it or check your pamphlet. Hope this helps :)
