Multivitamin for baby??

Question

I have never heard of this but my baby's doctor today said because my baby is exclusively breastfed (she's 2 months old) that I need to be giving her an additional multivitamin every day?
My sisters, two of my friends and my mother are all telling me no I don't have to, that they've never heard of it and it sounds ridiculous.

My ped also recommended the multi. I never gave it. Mine said it is specifically for the fluoride which I guess for babies only comes in a multi. I asked my dentist and he said it was fine if I didn't give it. (There is no fluoride added in the water here)

No you don't breastmilk provides more than enough vitamins, that is ancient advice. Some people say you need to give vitamin d but I think it depends if you're in a cold climate where you don't get a lot of sun then yes maybe but if you get some sun outside of peak uv hours then you should be fine

We just asked our pediatrician about this last Monday and she told us that we only needed to give our little guy vitamin D drops and that everything else he would get through me taking my prenatal vitamins and diet and nursing him.
