Nipple stimulation to start labor?

Question

I am wondering if anyone has tried nipple stimulation to start labor? Is it better to use a pump or your hands? If yes, should you save the colostrum that comes out when you do it or not? I am so ready to get this baby out that I will do whatever it takes.

I started pumping every second day for a week at approx 37+ weeks along as per my midwifes advice and collected the colostrum just coz I could and she said to just coz why waste it? You never know what your milk production will be like. I gave birth at 38+5 and believe nipple stimulation due to pumping and walking every day and bouncing on gym ball all helped him come "early" however in a strong believer in that a baby won't come til it's ready :p

I have heard that nipple stimulating is the only proven thing. If you have a husband/SO make some fun of it. I also heard that the colostrum that comes before labor really doesn't have what your baby needs. It's still to undeveloped (for lack of better word) to be useful for baby. The colostrum that comes in after you give birth with be plenty and developed enough for your baby. I want to point out I am not a doctor nor nurse!!! If you and your partner decide to make it into a fun account or try the nipple stimulation ask your doctor if it is safe first!!!

If my hubby plays with my nipples now he will bring on Braxton hicks and I'm only 28 weeks. It's been like this for a while now.
