RhoGAM anybody???

my doc told me i needed this shot while my miscarrage so to prevent any more has anybody else taken it ?? and does it really work i read about it but it says it has to be taken 72 hrs after the start of the miscarriage for it to work its been more than that for me wondering if it will work ? anybody had this?

when your blood is negative, you have to have it incase the baby was positive because you were exposed to their blood.  it's the same if you were to deliver a live baby.  if you don't get it, and baby was positive and you were negative, your body will continue to attack future babies and you may have multiple miscarriages.  so it won't necessarily prevent a miscarriage from other reasons, but from a blood incompatibility, it will help

I had it during both of my miscarriages. I think the reviews are mixed on whether or not it makes a difference, but it doesn't hurt to just get it

I got rhogam shot  for my miscarriage but not to prevent more it's to prevent blood clots cuz our blood type is Rh negative ...are you sure he said for no more miscarriages cuz I still had another after

I did but I don’t think it’s to prevent miscarriage. My blood type is A- and it was to prevent a reaction.

Hm, just wondering.  I already have a child.  I was given the rhogam shot.   I had a miscarriage 8/30 and was given it again.    My question is,   What if I had a chemical pregnancy in between and didn't know it? Would this effect anything if i needed a rhogam shot and didnt know? Or would it have been too early for it to make a difference?

I had one the 29the of July and my doctor told me I had to have it where I'm 0- because of clots but he also said if I got pregnant within the 3 months that it works my body would have the antibodies it needed to have a normal pregnancy. He said my body didn't have what it needed to pack a baby but I had it with my first child also
