Air travel in first trimester??

My husband and I are flying to visit family tomorrow and I didn't even think to check with my midwife if it was okay. I'm planning on calling the midwife on call tomorrow morning just in case. I'm 12 weeks and have had a very healthy pregnancy so far according to the midwives and the sonogram tech. Everything online says I should be fine but the doctor's say to take what you read online with a grain of salt. I thought I would ask to see if anyone else has flown while pregnant??
