The unexpected, my story

Saturday morning, everything is going as planned as i am the biggest planner ever. my step mom and i are decorating the house excited for my baby shower. I am 32 weeks 4 days. I was standing outside talking to her, around 9:15am and i felt myself leak. I was confused...i think i just peed my pants a little no big deal.

After we are done setting up i go inside to use the restroom. I wipe and there is strange colored discharge. I put on a pad and decide to monitor it and when my baby shower is over figure out if i go in or not.

Whelp as baby shower continued i knew i was going to have to go in, i started having some contractions. When i got to triage, the doctor did confirm that my water broke and that I was going to be admitted until my baby was born.

They stopped my labor though and are trying to get him to wait till 34 weeks. Im 33 weeks today and people keep asking me how i am doing....? Well im scared of course, sad to be expected, but it is what it is. My baby decided he wanted to see the world and that it needed to be done before anyone told him it was okay.

All of those big plans i had made? Yea those are not happening. Maternity photoshoot? Whelp i got to do it in the hospital. My birth plan? Most of that will be changing. Having a full term baby?

My point of this is don't have expectations have wishes, don't have a birth plan have birth wishes, don't prejudge what this experience will be like make it your own. Every woman, baby and labor is DIFFERENT. No woman's story is YOUR story. Be adaptive, be understanding, go with the flo. And love every minute of being with your baby.

Max was born vaginally on 10/11/17 @ 2:07pm he is 6lbs 15.3oz and 21 in long

He is in the nicubut both of us are getting stronger and mire healthy with each day.
