Periods

Hey this is my first time and I had sex a couple days before my expected period and the end of the month! And I passed it and have not had it for the whole month of September! It hasn't been two weeks yet for me to take a test but I did a week early and it said negative. Do u think it's invalid? Could I still be pregnant?
