My period is late?

I never post on here but what the heck. My periods are irregular. My last period was Augest 24-28th and my longest cycle was 44 days long but I am usually 30 something days long. I am not having pregnancy symptoms as far as I know. I have had a lot more ewcm but that's about it. My Well Women Exam was last Thursday and the nurse asked of I wanted a pregnancy test but I said no because I usually see BFNs so I didn't want to disappoint myself. The next day I took a test and it was negative but I haven't started yet. What the heck?!?!?
