AF 6 days late, negative test?

So we have been TTC for about six months with our second baby post MC in July, currently taking Clomid as having our first child was very difficult… AF is six days late, I am exhausted super nauseous and took a pregnancy test today, one says negative and the other one was an error🙄... I took this in the middle of the day after I took drank a bunch of water, could taking it in the middle of the day effect the results?
