I'm in a dilemma.

I've been through a very rough time this year and have been pretty sick.

I caught up with a good friend a few months ago and told her about a business idea I had as I wanted to bounce my ideas off her and ask if she wanted to partner up with me and pursue my idea with me.

She said she thought it was a great idea and we talked for about 30mins and she avoided committing to anything.

At the time she was not enjoying her full time job.

A month or so goes by and I haven't been able to get a hold of her as she's been super busy.

I finally arrange a catch up and she seems very avoidant about questions. Turns out she quit her full time job and has been pursuing my business idea alone. She is doing a course to help her kick start it.

I was horrified and felt that this was the ultimate breach oh loyalty.

She said that it wouldn't work with two people and that I hadn't started doing anything about it (I've been recovering from an illness from trauma). She said I can still pursue it alone if I want.

I just don't understand why she wouldn't talk to me about this before she pursued this- it makes me feel that the foundations of the relationship aren't built on trust and communication, and I struggle to justify nurturing our friendship as it seems like a bit of a red flag of a toxic relationship..not a caring friendship.

Should I just get over it or go and find new friends? What would you do?
