Vagina after vaginal childbirth???

Question

Hi ladies,
I’m 23 weeks with my first and wanting a natural vaginal birth, but I say that now so we’ll see lol 
I’ve heard some women say that they’re tighter (is this true or wishful thinking? I can’t imagine how it could possibly be tighter or even the same)
Does the appearance change? I’ve heard from one woman it can be darker and even have stretch marks! 
My point is, I don’t mind my vagina looking like a total train wreck if that’s the case honestly, as long as my daughter is safe she’s done her job well lol, I just really want to be prepared as to what to expect! I’ve heard some women say not to look with a mirror for 6 weeks or so which I get as the healing process sounds like a doozy. 
Please please please be honest even if it’s a sensitive topic! Vaginas are amazing things regardless lol

I've had stitches both times I delivered my sons and it definitely felt tighter after delivering. Years later when I met my bf he didn't believe me that my sons came out of there 😂 he said it looked too ' pretty' to have been through childbirth once let alone twice.
Honestly, it's what they're made for. Years of sex doesn't make you ' loose' and child birth won't either just keep on top of your kegels and you'll be fine 😊

It's a muscle so it'll go back after it heals. I didn't need stitches either.

According to my SO, and the fact that sex was painful for me for months after, I am tighter. But its because I tore and needed stitches. 
Also, My vagina looks the same as it did before.

I had natural with stitches. I didn't look in the mirror for ages because it never crossed my mind. I'm squeamish so wouldn't look if I cut my hand open, let alone the crown jewels! My midwife checked all that out so I knew it was healing...I didn't need proof. Honestly I was surprised by actual vagina/bum didn't hurt at all. The only way I knew I'd pushed a baby out was the stitches were sore as hell (got infected because I was feeling rundown) Sex wise it feels the same as before. Maybe it looks a bit different, but I can't tell. Not like I'm going to have before and after canvasses put up side by side in my living room anyway, it does the job- so who cares.

Had stitches after my first change in appearance definitely but nothing to drastic just had my 2nd no stitches needed and my SO has been loving it so far so idk just do kegels it also helps make pushing easier

Your vagina can change its look even without vaginal delivery.  I got a stretch mark on mine just from the swelling during pregnancy.  Mine wasn't any tighter but it went back to its normal size.  They are very hardy,  strong body parts!
