Low number of eggs fertilized - am I overreacting?
Had my egg retrieval yesterday - they got 24 eggs, which really got my hopes up. Today the embryologist called and said of the 18 mature eggs, only 7 were fertilized (with ICSI). She was quite neutral about it, but said that less than 50% fertilization wasn’t ideal. Really freaking out now. We are scheduled for a 5dt on Sunday, but I’m so frightened there will be nothing to transfer. Please tell me I’m overreacting 😢
