How often should your partner call you when you're in a long distance relationship?

My boyfriend of 5 years has been living in the UK for the last 5 months due to playing cricket over there (we are from Australia.) I have asked him over and over to call me but in the last 5 months he's only called me 3 times.

I try and not let it get to me because he isn't one to use social media or anything like that but it does make me feel really sad - like I'm not good enough because I would do anything to have him call me without me asking.😓i try call him a lot because when Ive asked him to call me (sooo many times) he just doesn't. If you have any advice I'd love to read it in the comments. 😓
