Cramps

Hey, I'm on birth control and my period is slightly regular. I don't normally have cramps in between periods at all i only have it right before or during my period. Ive been having mild cramps below the belly button, my lower abdomen area for the past week on and off. Its mainly just discomforting. I have my period due in over two weeks. Is this normal? Should i just take it as menstrual cramps or could it be because of the birth control pills? 😖 if anyone might have an idea let me know. Thank youu
