My ex and I are not seeing eye to eye on this co parenting .he has a new girlfriend but that's not my problem I told him I want to meet her am I wrong for this .and how to get him to see its not about him .

You have every right to know who it is he is bringing around your child. I got lucky and me and my ex have turned out to be best friends. He will not go on a first date with a girl unless she agrees to meet me and our child and if she or I have a problem with the other one he just doesn't pursue anything with her. I am married and he and my husband get along great and he says he never wants there to be anything bad between us. People think We are weird but it works for us..

Sometimes you just need to trust his judgement as a father and hope he knows who is right person to bring around his child it's a touchy subject to bring up with his new partner of the relationship is new it might scare her off I understand you wanting to meet her but it's a touchy subject sometimes

I don't think your wrong at all, if this lady is going to be in your child's life you have every right to see what she's like. I'm sure your ex would feel the same if it were the other way around, I don't know that many people would be happy sending their children of to spend time with strangers.

Depends on how long and how serious he is about her, if he was bringing her around my children though I'd would deff like to meet her too though. It doesn't need to be pike a double date or something crazy, but a meet n greet while dropping the kids off or something would be a deff need for me.

Its like he gives me a hard time in trying to get along with him so . this my last time reaching to him in being civil .. Am I doing the right thing . You are not wrong for wanting to meet her at all. You are just trying to know who will be around your child. My parents are divorced and my mom demanded that my dad introduce his girlfriend to her. She later became my stepmom. But when my mom started dateing he wanted to meet her boyfriend, he also later became my stepdad. But I think you are doing the right thing by asking to meet her.

So I am the new step mom to my husbands two beautiful babies from 2 ex wives and when we got together I made him tell both ex wives that if they wanted to meet me or ask me anything that I was open to talking. The first said no it wasn't important to her but the more recent ex said yes. I am by no means friends with either of these ladies since both cheated repeatedly on my now husband and frankly aren't great people, but for the children we talk and got to know each other well enough that when a problem or decision comes up we feel comfortable enough to talk to each other. Co parenting is super hard especially when new significant others come into the picture. I mean if you guys agreed on everything wouldn't you still be with him? So just be patient keep trying and always rememeber the other person really doesn't matter, what matters is what's best for your child and if you keep the child the center of your conversations eventually ypu will either agree or agree to disagree. No. I would want to meet someone who would be around my son all the time. Especially if she's going to be a "motherly" figure to my son technically by dating the father of my baby. If she were nuts I wouldnt want her around my kid.
