When to pump while breastfeeding ?! 🤔

Hello ladies, 
For those who are breastfeeding and pumping for stockpile, when did you all begin to pump? 
Also, do you pump before or after breastfeeding or at completely different times?

You can start pumping any time. The best is after your first feeding of the day in the morning. It's when your body will produce the most milk. The later in the day you pump, the less you get. And never pump before baby has nursed.

My plan is after the first month/month and a half I'm just going to start pumping after the eats so my body will think she needs more and will produce more. And it gives me a while to stock up for when I go back to work. Not sure if this is how your supposed to do it but it worked well for my last munchkin!!

I also had a preemie so I started pumping right away. Then when he finally started nursing from me, I would feed him and then pump immediately afterwards to trick my body in to thinking I needed more milk for baby. My supply was super awesome! I eventually just went to pumping twice a day. You'll get the most milk right away in the morning. Unfortunately my nursing journey only lasted five months because of allergies and complications.

with my first I started pumping right away I had a preemie and she was drinking very little to start with. every time she was done even I would pump. she ate every 2 hours for the first 2 months. after that a pumped between feedings when I felt that I was full. it seemed to work pretty good. planning on doing the same thing with this one

I was wondering about this too, our midwife said to wait for three weeks before starting to pump and do it after the baby has been fed. So if the baby fed from the right side then pump on the left etc xx
