“Strangers” around new baby

Mini

I am due Jan 2. I told my bf today that he needed to get his flu and whooping cough vaccines and that those who want to be around baby need to also. This is our first and his parents weren’t exactly safe about things like having others vaccinated, and his mom smoked while pregnant with him so he’s never really thought of the vaccine thing I don’t think.

Anyway, he responded by saying that our kid isn’t going to be in a bubble. Not rude or anything, just saying to be realistic. But I was like “uh no sorry. I’m not being crazy I’m just saying what the doctor said.” And then he said okay. But... REALLY how do you keep everyone from trying to touch baby? For example when she’s idk a few months, I was going to take her to my bf’s work to eat lunch together outside at picnic tables. But I don’t want people to come outside and touch all over her. I’m not a germophobe but I also don’t want her to get a serious illness such as whooping cough. And also I don’t want to be like NO STEP AWAY!😂😂

How do you guys deal with this?
