39 weeks baby measuring large?!

Question

I have a growth scan for Wednesday they said if she's measuring too big they'd want to schedule a c-section.. I was wondering if any of you ladies are measuring with bigger babies, or them been wrong about the weight?! She decided this from feeling my stomach!

I was 39.4 with my daughter. Ultrasound said she was definitely over 9 lbs. dr wanted to induce for that reason. She was born 2 days later and weighed 7.12. Do not give in to a suggestion of a c section if you don’t want it. You can try to deliver vaginally and if something happens then a c is the back up option.

I'm 37 weeks, measuring 41 weeks. My baby has broad shoulders and weighed 6lbs at 32 weeks. October 16th we will do an ultrasound deciding whether or not to do a scheduled c section or natural. If he's too wide and weighs too much (usually over 10lbs.) my doc will do a c section, if he's under 10lbs. and his shoulders aren't too wide, I'll deliver vaginally. So I'm right there with you. Also, ultrasounds are more wrong the further along you are as opposed to just becoming pregnant. I have heard of babies measuring huge and come out half what they said. So it's like 50/50 if they are right or not.

I was induced at 39 weeks with my first because he was always measuring 2 weeks ahead. His birth weight was 8lb3oz and they predicted closer to 10lb. Definitely not getting induced with this one as my experience wasn't that awesome with the induction process.
