You got your period so I wouldn't worry. But you need to use a reliable form of birth control. If you are mature enough to have sex, you are mature enough to see a gynecologist and buy condoms.

Cramping comes with a period.  From the way you typed, I'm guessing you are very young.  Please be careful.  Talk to someone and get on birth control and use condoms!!!! Educate yourself on this subject!

For the first time it may be late and also light, some people do get a period throughout a pregnancy, while other don't get them at all, or some every other month. I would go ahead and wait about a month since the day you had sex to go to a clinic and get checked just for reassurance.
