How to count cycles?

Can someone give me some insight. I don't think I'm counting properly. We started TTC in December 2016( so not a year yet). But if I count fertility weeks I get 13. Do you count fertility weeks or calendar months?

Shouldn’t they equal the same? You ovulate every month, every month is only once cycle. Fertility weeks isn’t the same as cycles since you can ovulate more than once in a cycle.

Count cycles. First full day of real flow is CD1. Average cycle is 28 days, while months are 28-31. That's why your getting different numbers. Your "Fertile Week" is just a range of time that you might be able to conceive.

It's from the start of your period to the start of your next period. The fertility week has nothing to do with it. You usually ovulate 2 weeks after the first day of your period but not everyone is like that.
