Should hiding your diagnosis of hiv/aids from a sexual partner be a felony?

So while changes to birth control coverage stole all the headlines on Friday, the left was hard at work as well inserting their will against sexual well being and women's rights. On Friday, Gov Jerry Brown (Democrat, California) signed a bill that lowers the punishment for KNOWINGLY exposing a sexual partner to HIV or AIDS to only a misdemeanor, instead of a felony. Perhaps more concerning, the bill also applies to individuals who purposely keep their diagnosis of HIV/AIDS from blood banks if they chose to donate blood. I understand the stigma, and people living with this disease are certainly not all criminals, but knowingly exposing someone, especially an innocent recipient of a blood transfusion, to a life threatening condition seems rather criminal to me when you take away their choice to participate in sexual activities without their consent to this condition or to receive blood from someone with this condition. While everyone is screaming against trump for changing birth control coverage in favor of our constitutional religious rights, I feel the left is putting women at just as much risk with laws like this! Sadly the biased media is hardly giving it coverage, because heaven forbid democrats are ever made to look bad. Maybe that's just me, your thoughts?
