Should I tell him?

So I met this guy on a dating app about 3 weeks ago and so far we haven’t been on any actual dates yet, but we have established that we like each other. The problem is that this guy at work invited me to join him and his friends on the weekends to go play sports, go hiking & go eat. So I interpreted that as a form of him maybe asking me out, but I’m not too sure. My question is should I tell the guy I’ve been talking to about the other guy’s invitation or am I reading too much into the invitation?
