Am I wrong?

So my husband and I are having a dispute about thanksgiving dinner this year.
Every year for the past 3 years we go to my aunts and then his grandparents.
This year my husband is refusing to go to my aunts because we moved an extra half hour away. The drive would be an hour and a half.
His family lives right down the street and every week for our ENTIRE relationship we go eat dinner at their house every Sunday. God forbid we don’t I’m accused of breaking the family up. (They’re insane)
His suggestion was that I go to my aunts and he goes to his grandparents. I am NOT okay with this. I resent him for even asking. We got married in may it’s our first thanksgiving as a married couple.
Am I wrong for being upset that I want to see my family every once in a while with my husband?!

You are not wrong at all.  When me and my husband first met I quickly found out that Thanksgiving is a tradition celebrated at his brothers house every year.  I negotiated with him : thanksiving at his brother house,  xmas eve & nye at my parents.  xmas & ny at our house he agreed. But as our relationship continued progressing somehow I started hosting Thanksiving & xmas eve.  lol. I want to say it started because his brother askes us, to come over from xmas eve, my husband said we couldn't because we celebrate this holiday with my family and his brother was like ok.... I reached out to his brother and wife and invited them to celebrate xmas eve with us and my family and they happily accepted our invitation.  That year for the first time I hosted xmas eve at our house. Thanksgiving approached the following year sand both family asked us if it was simplier if we hosted , we said yes. so for the last 4 or 5 yrs we host Thanksgiving & xmas eve. Maybe intead of going to both family for one holiday , just agree on which holiday you will be spending with each other family.

You're not wrong and 1.5 hour drive is nothing. I drive 3 hours to see my mother for holidays. Try to have this conversation calmly and affectionately. You'd like to spend this holiday with him and your family and that it would mean so much if ya'll could go together. He should understand you don't see your own family often. I would also suggest alternating every year.

We live 6 hours from my family and 9 hours from his, since my family is huge and he has only his parents we have his parents to our house (because kids) sometime between holidays, and go to see mine for Christmas and sometime in Spring. (My family celebrates Thanksgiving twice. Nov and March. Lol) but for most of the holidays we are trying to establish our own traditions.  We will have three kids under two soon and traveling will be a nightmare! 
There has to be a balance though, as much you guys see his family he needs to understand that your family is just as important to you.

You’re not wrong but at least he isn’t stopping you from going to your family. You cannot force him and sometimes you have to compromise.
