I've had BV off and on for the past year. I'm in a committed relationship of 2 years with my boyfriend, we live together and everything. So it's not like I'm getting BV for sleeping around. When we started going out I noticed that I was getting a lot of UTI problems, but not anymore. Now I just have BV problems and it's gotten to the point where I've taken the antibiotics, and even my boyfriend started getting discharge, which is uncommon for males. The ER had to give him antibiotics as well. They didn't know what he had, but the doctors assumed that since I have BV I must have given him an infection. We've both been tested twice for STD's and we're both negative on that. So what is the problem? I'm sick of taking antibiotics that only help for a couple of weeks.
