Is it normal for a 5 day old baby to want to feed every 2 hours (sometimes more) during the night? If so, when does it stop being so frequent and how do I cope with such little sleep?

Yes it’s very normal. Started seeing longer stretches around 4-6 weeks. When they’re brand new usually their naps during the day are longer (2-3 hours) so try to sleep when baby sleeps. I know sometimes its not always possible though but it’s the only way I survived lol.

yup its normal.. my baby is almost 7 months and she still feeds every 2 or 3 hours. even at night.

Yes, it is completely normal and it gets better. It may be that your baby is feeding that often because you are not producing enough. If that's the case, for a short time, pump after every feeding to increase production. To cope with so little sleep, you sleep whenever you can for the time being. Lean on your partner to get the little one back to sleep while you go to sleep. Somehow you'll make it through. Good luck!

Well yeah its normal their bellies are really tiny they wake so eat several times a night you just do what you gotta do it wont last long sleep when they sleep
