I ruined baby's latch?

I need some advice please! Two days ago my 2 week old would not go to sleep. He has been exclusively breastfed since birth with zero issues and I didn't want to introduce a pacifier until he is one month old at the very least. But after 5 hours of trying to get him to sleep I gave him a Mam pacifier as an act of desperation. It worked and he went to sleep, but ever since then he has not latched onto my breast properly and it is extremely painful. I don't know what to do and I'm very upset with myself! I try to rewatch over and over but it just won't happen the way it used to. Have any mom's dealt with this? What was your solution?
