Preeclampsia moms??

So I have preeclampsia, and I’m kinda freaking out about the induction... I’m hearing horror stories about the magnesium and being induced. I would like to hear real birth stories and how it went for you! Thanks in advance 💙

I was induced for preeclampsia. They went straight to pitocin with me. It honestly wasn’t bad at all. I also had group b strep so I already had to be on an IV. The only down side was the contractions were so close together. The worst part for me was removing the tape from the epidural and IV lol and I made it to 8cm and getting my water broken before I got the epidural

I was induced due to preeclampsia and I laboured for four hours and pushed for 17 minutes. It went really fast, but I didn't think it was painful. I'm terrified of needles and thought the IV hurt more than the birth itself 😁

I was severe preeclamptic and was induced at 36 weeks. I was fortunate enough not to receive mag. Because I was able to keep my BP below 150/85. During the time I was being induced I just kept laying on my side because Laying on my back caused my BP to be high. My labor wasn’t bad at all.

@jamie this will be a long story. i was 25 yrs at the time and my husband to be is a fitness fanatic, and him i always go to the gym,  play football on the oval near where live, and i went to work early one day to open up the child care centre and for some reason i vomited and i rung my fiance and said to him can u check the OJ and see if its gone off. no he says. ok so soldered on with my day. it was 3.30pm on and i was changing nappies of my toddler's  and i had to put the rubbish out and i felt this gush of blood come from my u knw wat. and i told my boss i have to go home i feel like shit sge like ok. in the mean time i was on the phone with my gp i need  to  see a female dr ASAP called my man to meet at home . so i got there and she said go straight to the hospital so i did. i  they told  i was in labour i was actually 28 weeks pregnant.

I’ve been induced twice due to preeclampsia and some other complications. Both births were very different. First baby was 36weeks and face up and labour was 12hrs 11mins, Second baby was 37weeks and labour was 4hrs start to finish. There’s nothing to be concerned about 😊

I was given Mag and pitocin when I was induced due to HELLP syndrome (I didn’t have Pre-E but the treatment is similar). I was high risk for stroke/seizure so I didn’t have an epidural. I was already 5 cm when they broke my water - my body was ready. This is my only labor experience, the contractions were intense, especially because I was put on bed rest immediately (can’t be too over stimulated 😂). But luckily, I dilated quickly and pushing is so much less painful than just laying there with contractions. I cant lie, I really hope I don’t have to be induced and don’t develop the same syndrome again where I need these medications. Everything will be fine and you will get through it!

I didn't learn until after the fact that I was induced with my last pregnancy die to Preeclampsia. Switched doctors over that information being withheld. Anyway, my blood pressure spiked and they sent me to L&D.; They broke my water since I was already at 38 weeks at the time. Labor started immediately. I got an epidural. From first contractions to holding baby was 4 hours. That was my second induction, the first was 4.5 hours of labor. I've been very fortunate with my pregnancies and deliveries.
