Amanda is right. Babies only have around 25% of their brains developed at birth, and as their brains are developing then can’t handle REM sleep. Making your baby sleep through the night highly increases the risk of SIDS. You should try co-sleeping if you aren’t already.

Focus more on finding ways to sleep yourself, because your baby will do it when your baby’s good and ready. Nap when he naps. I slept at 5:30 pm when dh got home from work. Getting a cosleeper was also a big help. She’s 2 1/2 years old and still doesn’t sleep through the night.

Do you have a sleep schedule and routine in place? We had a sleep routine in place right from day one and had our daughter sleeping through the night by the time she was 5 weeks old. 9pm to 7am with zero wakes in between. She’s now 4.5 months old and still going strong! I couldn’t imagine having a one year old who still wakes up throughout the night lol I don’t care what anyone says. It’s totally possible to have a baby that sleeps through the night. It’s a developmental milestone and all babies hit it at different points. I highly suggest doing some sleep training!

Pray... a lot. My son slept through the night around 9 weeks but my nephew is almost a year and a half and rarely does.
