What is your experience with cluster feeding?

Does baby always cluster feed? How long does it usually last? Does your baby stop doing that after a while? Anything else you want to say I'm up for hearing it. Also, how do you find time to pump when cluster feeding since everytime she sleeps I just want to sleep?

Baby cluster feeds in order to bring your mature milk in. This typically starts within the first few weeks of birth and can last up 4 months.  It depends on how long it takes your body takes. Cluster feedings are basically your baby sending your body it's order of how much milk baby will need to sustain for the first year or so. It's important you allow your baby to do this as it builds your milk supply and cues your body to continue filling each breast after they've been emptied.

Some babies just like to nurse often, not because they're hungry, but because they want that comfort and secureness they feel when they're with their mommy. Cluster feeding isn't going to last forever but some babies just want to be at the breast at all possible times, even if they're not hungry. Enjoy the snuggles.

I suggest getting on a schedule. That way you know if your baby is cluster feeding or just eating to eat. I have found a baby never will deny food at a young age. That being said, cluster feeding should only be happening before bed time to stock them up for the night. 
As for pumping, I never pumped so I unfortunately can’t help you with that one 😬
