so I'm having a super hard time for my daughter's first birthday. I want to do a small party but just "keeping it small" with just inviting immediate family is impossible because we have such a large family. I want to keep it small for monetary purposes. 1. If I'm going to spend 500 on a party I'd just rather spend 500 on her... at least that's the way I see it. but anyways, what I want to know is 1.how much you spent on the party 2. did you have to rent a venue? 3.how many guest did you invite 4.how many actually showed up 5.what was your entertainment for kids of various ages(1-14). 6. any other details you want to provide and advice/lessons learned and so on. edit to add: that unless we keep it to parents and 4 grandparents we HAVE to rent somewhere. due to not having our own place and not having a lot of room.
