I find this kind of condescending. Like, how do you know fast food wasn't MY choice?! 🙄 Or even a MUTUAL choice?! 
My husband and I actually ate fast food way more when we just started dating. We would get Taco Bell and hang out in the car and talk and talk. I have great memories of those days, and in no way, shape or form was I "brainwashed" or manipulated into eating fast food. 🙄 Now that we're married we go on more of what this girl would consider ""real dates."" But to me, no experience is more or less valuable because of how much money you spend. She's assuming every girl needs and desires the same things she does, which is so narrow-sighted and off base.

I consider anytime you get to spend quality time, and get out of the house with your partner or a perspective partner a date. The money spent isn't the point, it's about being happy and if you are happy eating McDonald's that's awesome!

Anything can be a date, whoever posted this is just high maintenance and seems ungrateful tbh. My boyfriend and I refer to sitting on the couch and watching a movie as a date. It doesn’t have to be anything spectacular. It doesn’t have to cost a ton of money. It can be simple and cheap. As long as both of you enjoy yourselves and enjoy each other’s company, then call it a date.
