Induction delayed

I'm currently 38 weeks and my doctor said she wants to induce me due to baby's large size and the fact that my body is making so much progress already.

I was scheduled to be induced this morning at 5:30am. My husband and I had everything prepared and in place, ready to go when I got a phone call at 4:30am. It was the hospital saying that due to having too many critical patients I'd have to wait a few hours until they had room for me.

So, I called back and they said to "continue about my normal day" and they'd call me at some point today. Well, 30 minutes later when the phone rang I got excited, only to have them tell me that my doctor wants to re-schedule it for tomorrow morning. 😫😔

I had friends & family coming in from out of town and I tried really hard to remain positive but my brain had a hard time accepting the fact that I wouldn't be meeting my baby girl today. I'm thankful I'm not being induced out of "critical need" but I was so ready to begin the process.

Fingers crossed that we don't deal with the same situation tomorrow! 🤞❤️
